FAQs
Can i check in or check out outside of the allocated times?
The hotel is open until 3am Thursday through Saturday, 10pm Sunday and 12am Monday through Wednesday. Should you not be able to make it before these times then call the hotel well in advance to see if there is a way to check you in another way.
Does the hotel have a minimum age requirement?
Children cannot be accommodated at the hotel. Guests must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
How can I travel to The Nags from Newcastle Airport?
Taxi services are available to the left of the airport arrivals exit. To pre-book a taxi simply phone 132227 or Port Stephens Coaches to organise bus transport on 02 4982 2940.
Is parking available? Free parking? Long-term parking?
Free public parking is available at the rear of the hotel (reservation is not needed).
What if there will be more than 2 adults in the room?
All of our rooms contain a Queen bed. Unfortunately we do not have the capabilities to accommodate more than 2 adults per room. This includes roll-away beds/cribs.
Once I have made my reservation, will I receive any written confirmation from the hotel?
Yes, you will receive an email from us confirming your booking.

Where do i pick up my room keys/ Check in to my room?
All our rooms work on a key-less entry code system. You will be given this code upon check in at the main bar.
From what time can I check in?
Regular check in is available from 2pm. If you require an earlier check in please call us as we may be able to accommodate this pending availability.

What is the cancellation policy on my reservation?
Cancellations for bookings made via The Nags Head Hotel website are fully refundable until 3 days prior to arrival. Cancellations for bookings made via other websites (Online travel agencies) are subject to terms & conditions of those sites.

What is a pre-authorisation and when will the money be released back into my account?
A pre-authorisation is a temporary hold of a specific amount of the available balance on a credit or debit card provided upon check in. The pre-authorisation is not a charge and no funds have been debited from your account. The release of a pre-authorisation generally occurs in 4-10 working days depending on the cardholders bank.
